Thank you to all who supported the Ninth Annual Education Luncheon. We raised over $31,600 and counting for the Education Fund which will be matched by the Jill Meinzer Scholarship Fund at LCN – bringing our total to $63,200!
This year, we awarded 23 scholarships to youth overcoming housing instability. This nearly doubles last year's total and represents a powerful collective investment in education, equity, and opportunity.
We enjoyed an encouraging keynote address by President Zaldwaynaka ("Z") Scott of Chicago State University that resonated with our guests and spoke directly to the dreams and resilience of our youth. Congratulations to Ricardo Delgado, this year's Gregory Maire Leadership Award recipient and the first former La Casa Norte client to receive the honor. His story of going from experiencing homelessness as a youth to now a homeowner and federal worker is a true testament to the power of community and perseverance.
